While Others Campaign, He Builds — Teddy Adewumi’s Surprise Intervention in Atte
In yet another show of commitment to grassroots development, Mr Humphrey Teddy Adewumi, the CEO of Trig Energy and Logistics Ltd, Chairman of the Teddy Adewumi Foundation (TAF), Leader of the Ted-Force Movement, and frontline Chairmanship aspirant for Akoko-Edo Local Government under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has begun the full-scale renovation of Atte Secondary School in Ward 8 of Akoko-Edo LG of Edo state.
The project, which officially began on June 5th, 2025, covers the rehabilitation of 3-blocks of classrooms, the principal’s office, and the staff room—facilities that had fallen into a horrible state after years of negligence.
Mr. Humphrey Teddy Adewumi has consistently demonstrated that his love for education goes beyond words. He has emphasized that education remains a powerful tool for transforming lives and shaping individuals into valuable assets to the society. This passion continues to reflect in his various interventions across the local government, especially in sectors that directly affect the future of young people.
The ongoing renovation at Atte was born out of a community call for help. The school, which was previously unfit for academic activities due to its dilapidated condition, had become a source of concern for parents and residents. Upon learning of the situation, Mr. Adewumi responded swiftly by taking full responsibility for the renovation—funded personally, without any political office backing.
According to the contractor, Mr. Theophilus Dania, the project is being executed in line with the specifications of the Edo State Government, using quality materials and adhering strictly to best practices. He confirmed that work is progressing steadily and is on track for completion within schedule.
This is not the first time Mr. Adewumi is executing community-based projects across Akoko-Edo. The renovation of Atte Secondary School is one among several ongoing school rehabilitation projects under his personal initiative. From educational support to healthcare and infrastructure, his impact is being felt across wards and communities.
What makes this even more remarkable is that Mr. Adewumi is not yet in political office. All these projects are self-sponsored—driven by his deep desire to give back and reposition Akoko-Edo for growth and development.
This level of dedication has sparked conversations throughout the LGA, with many describing his efforts as unprecedented. It is the first time in Akoko-Edo that a private citizen has taken on such massive infrastructural responsibilities without waiting to be elected.
The people of Atte and surrounding communities have expressed their gratitude, with many describing the ongoing renovation as a “timely intervention” and a clear indication of the kind of leadership Mr. Adewumi will offer if elected as chairman.
As preparations for the upcoming local government election gather momentum, supporters are calling on the people of Akoko-Edo to rise above sentiments and support a candidate who has already proven his capacity through action.
Mr. Humphrey Teddy Adewumi represents a new kind of leadership—one anchored on integrity, service, and tangible results.
The time has come to support and nominate a leader whose passion for development is unmatched.
Let’s support and nominate Mr. Humphrey Teddy Adewumi as the next Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government.
The results are visible. The vision is clear. The time is now. Teddy will make a great chairman of Akoko Edo LG.
