EID MUBARAK; Commissioner, Loyalists Celebrate. Residents say it’s a new development

Erhurun Uneme in Akoko Edo LG of Edo state celebrates the 2025 Eid Mubarak in a style never before witnessed. This is despite the fact that the small community is majorly Christians populated, the commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Edo State Chief Olabisi Marie Idaomi Esq not minding her religious affiliation and belief finds it tolerable to join our Muslim brothers and sisters worldwide especially in Erhurun Uneme and Akoko Edo after the Ramadan Fasting period wherein faithful subjected themselves to period of abstinence and prayers for good things to come in our daily life of living together to celebrate the love of Allah, for oneself and for others. Happy Eid Mubarak is celebrated at the end of Ramadan which is marked by joy, reflection, and unity among Muslims worldwide.
The heavily attended event comprises of APC faithful, loyalists and supporters of commissioner Bisi Idaomi, all political parties followers as well as Muslim faithful and visitors who reside in the village.
Sheik Kerimu Yakubu, one of the Muslim clerics who attended the event expresses joy and excitement that Allah has intervened into the affairs of the community by bringing together our people notwithstanding our religion affiliations.
“After RAMADAN comes love for Allah, for us and others and for the fact that Commissioner Chief Bisi Idaomi decided to unite this community with this celebration which she personally funded, Allah has answered our prayers since development comes with unity and collective aspirations. By the grace of Allah, the victory of Governor Okpebholo will bring bountiful fruits to this community”.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Chief Bisi Idaomi Esq who was represented by her Coordinator Edo North and Akoko Edo Mr Philip Zilolo Ojo said, “Honorable guests, esteemed community leaders, and dear brothers and sisters of Erhurun Uneme community, I am deeply honored to stand before you today as we gather to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid Mubarak. As the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, it is my pleasure to host this special event, and I am thrilled to see so many smiling faces around me.
I would like to start by expressing my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for taking the time to join us today. Your presence here is a testament to the strong sense of community and solidarity that exists among us. As we celebrate Eid Mubarak, let us remember the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that are at the heart of this special occasion.
As we gather here today, I am reminded of the importance of community and the role that each of us plays in making our society a better place. As a commissioner, I have had the privilege of working closely with many of you, and I have seen firsthand the incredible work that is being done in our community.
Today, as we celebrate Eid Mubarak, I want to encourage each of you to continue striving for excellence, to continue working together, and to continue showing compassion and kindness to one another. Let us use this special occasion as an opportunity to come together, to strengthen our bonds, and to build a brighter future for ourselves and for generations to come.
