A NEW DAWN AS GOV MONDAY OKPEBHOLO OF EDO STATE COMMISSIONS EDO LINE TRANSPORT

Benin City, Edo state was thronged with multitude of supporters, friends and political allies who had come to witness the official flag-off of the new Edo Line Transport Company by his Excellency Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo state. The commissioning which took place at the Central Park Obakhavbaye Benin City had FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as special guest.
Recall that Edo line transport was very productive and contributory to the GDP of the state during the administration of former governor Adams Oshiomhole of the state but suddenly went into comatose and then extinction as a result of the maladministration of the immediate past government of Godwin Obaseki.
Governor Monday Okpebholo’s concern for the transportation hardship in the face of Edo people induced by the removal of fuel subsidy necessitated the resuscitation of the transport company. The idea is to make movement within and outside Edo state easy and cost-effective for the common man.
No doubt the administration of Sen. Monday Okpebholo has brought innovation and modernity into governance. Transport system as we speak within Edo and outside is prohibitively high and the governor being people-oriented will certainly have a way to make the interest of the common man a priority and that is why people see him with human face than the just past who had no feeling for the people. So far, the infrastructural drive of Gov Okpebholo bears no comparison with the just past government and therefore Edo state is in, for good governance and productivity including unhindered access to presidency for projects that will make life good for Edo people.
The New Edo line was one of the top priorities of his Excellency, which he had always emphasized during his electioneering campaigns, but today we thank God that he is able to actualize the commissioning of the new Edo line in order to make life bearable for the people.
Edo shines brighter under the leadership of Sen. Monday Okpebholo, Indeed a New Edo has Risen.
